When I first started with Google Maps, I assumed every business, landmark, park, etc was on there and up to date. I mean, it’s google! I thought they had this magical algorithm that kept GM right on top of everything. And maybe they do, but it’s not perfect. There are alot of missing places and wrong information, especially in the real rural areas like much of Maine is made up of. The first 3 places I found that were missing were all in Penobscot Maine, it’s a great little coastal town, with a rich history and laid back attitude. Here’s the places I added:
Jim Henry Field is a nice little ball field, that had just changed it’s name and was partially under construction or re-construction or something. Penobscot Historical Society is a great collection of buildings and artifacts from Days Gone By. The little country store is awesome, we really enjoyed our time there.
