I’ve been hitting a lot of restaurants in Northern Maine recently. Here’s 3 that have been stand-outs to me, I’m working on Full reviews for all three of them. But I can tell you right now, if you haven’t been to them, you should check them out. Here’s a bit of a teaser for the upcoming Full reviews:
Not surprisingly, at least 2 of these places really depend on the Snow Sledding traffic for much of their business. So it’s kind of fitting, here on the 1st day of spring to acknowledge how important that a “good” winter is for some area businesses. And while I hope next year is just as “good”, snowfall wise, I plan on spending next winter someplace much warmer (of course, I say that every year!)

Three different towns have the 3 clean-up businesses for this blog entry. I visited them in 2018 and I am still working on their full reviews. Here’s a few details:
Arey's New Road Storage : I think I added this listing to google maps, not really sure. When I was there several months ago, I noticed it was for sale. Seems like relatively new units built on high ground. I don’t know what the story is, but seems like a good deal if the price is right. Kind of in a remote area but has close proximity to the college and the coast. If it was marketed right and kept up, seems like a gold mine for someone into passive income.
Aubuchon Hardware : When I lived in Brewer, I always went to this Hardware Store first. They have a huge selection and a friendly helpful staff. They have a little bit of corporate “twinge” to them, but they treat you like a real person and are attentive to your customer needs. Probably be a awhile before they get “self-checkouts”.... Sigh.
Automotive Elegance INC My only interaction was this place last fall was a decent one. The guy was there Saturday and assisted me in renting a U-haul. Well, attempted renting a U-haul, seems I owed money from a past rental I wasn’t aware. Whoops. Anyway, that was more my fault or U- haul's faulty computers or my faulty brain. Whatever the case, the guy was very professional, would use again for automotive work.
That’s it for the newest Cleanup edition of “My Adventures with Google Maps” Jeesh, we’re not even out of the A’s yet. I better speed this baby up. Thanks for reading and come back soon!
Been kinda slacking on my “daily” blog postings. But finishing moving, personal challenges and some things I just can’t talk about (yet), have prevented me from doing My Adventures with Google Maps every day. I’ve still been having the adventures, just not posting about it.
So today we continue with the 2018 clean-up project. These 3 businesses are still on my list, located in 3 different towns. Here’s a little more about each one:
Advance Auto Bucksport: I was able to add a real exterior shot of the storefront. They are a corporation so they have many stock photos but only a few from customers. I plan doing an extended review the next time I am in the Bucksport area and need a car part.
Aerus Electrolux I haven’t done a full review of this company as well. Mainly because I moved from the brewer area and I haven’t had need of their services or items they sell. I have noticed they have gotten better reviews on Google the past few months. That’s a plus. The plaza they are in, gets alot of traffic, but it is not what I would call I shopping plaza. Hannaford and Cigarette shop are most peoples destination. Can be tough there, but I’m glad to see their reviews improving.
The Happier Choice This is what we used to call a “head shop” in Trenton, now they are referred to as “Glass Shops”. Now I really wanted to do an extended review, they have a great shop. I am not really knowledgeable but I am fascinated by the rapidly evolving cannabis business in Maine and other places where it is legal. They have a really great shop and when I can I will return to do a FULL review.
That’s it for the latest blog entry and I will be keeping up with these entries. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading and join me again for My Adventures with Google Maps!
