As plans stand at the present time now taking place at the Mattawamkeag Community Building shall be completed by Wednesday, November 28, 1964.
The present phase of these repairs on this building is the replacement of the old floor with a new one. At the time of this writing, at least half of the new floor has been laid.
In charge of the work is Mr. James Finney, of Lincoln and working with him are the following me: Melvin Vicaire, “Sonny” Boutot, Tom Vicaire, Gary Estabrook, and George Smith.
We are sure that everyone will be happy to see this work finished.

CAST NAMED IN HIGH SCHOOL PLAY
Gloria Mundi has been selected as the play to be presented by Mattawamkeag High School in the one-act play contest which will be held November 17, 1964.
This play will be directed by Mr. David Larse, English teacher and drama coach.

SCOUTS CARRY ON MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The Boy Scouts, Troop 154, of Mattawamkeag are seeking membership this week and next.
Boys who wish to join must meet the following qualifications: (1) they must be 11 years of age or older, and (2) they must register next Wednesday evening, November 28, 1964, at the Community Building at 6:00 p.m.
All boys who are now members are urged to be present next Wednesday at this time.
We encourage all qualified boys to join scouting wagon, and open the door to a rich and rewarding venture.

PLANS MADE FOR SPEAKER
The seniors of Mattawamkeag High School are making plans concerning their forthcoming class day. Among activities being planned, they hope to get a speaker from the House of Representatives in Augusta for their main speaker. No definite speaker has been named at this time.
Also planned for the high school is a mock election to be held on November 3, 1964, which is a national election day. This election is for the entire student body.
